“Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” – All Shook UP

Updated: Sep 3, 2020

I lived in Memphis from kindergarten til 8th grade. So obviously I have a deep love of Elvis. I can still remember as a little girl the day he died. When I hear “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You,” I fall in love with his velvet voice. All Shook UP is jukebox musical of his music and of course is a love story. Elvis is a tragic story. But one thing is that striking about him when you look at his life and everything he did is that with all of his faults, God, family and friends were always a priority in his life.

Throughout history God used nonperfect and often tragic figures to change the world. Moses was a murderer and yet was used to set “his people free.” David was an adulterer and a murderer and yet was a man after God’s own heart. Well I’m thinking we are all probably better than that so imagine what God can do with us. Don’t think that you are not qualified, not talented enough, don’t have anything to offer. Because you do. Listen to where God may lead you. It may be small things; it may be big things because you are always more than enough. And remember:

Like a river flows Surely to the sea Darling, so it goes Some things are meant to be

You are special and meant to be used for God’s purpose on earth. Never doubt that.
