You’re invisible when you’re sad. Mental health is always a huge issue in our society but right now there are factors that make it a little worse and harder to maintain a healthy balance. People who have lost someone during the pandemic have not been able to have the traditional grieving process; people who have found coping mechanisms for whatever their aliment is-suddenly have all of those mechanisms removed; not to mention that there is currently a lot of added stress for numerous reasons. But whatever the reason or the issue is – mental health is a very problem, especially right now. And this song is true. You feel invisible when you are sad. And often, other people don’t want to deal with it because they don’t know what to say or how to help. Or they may not even know what is going on. So, let this help us all raise awareness in our daily lives. Know that you are not alone if you are suffering and let others know that as well. God has promised to be there for us and to help us navigate this world.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
So, pray and pray often. Pray for yourself and each other. Ask for help!!! And if you think someone may need a hello or a hug – send that. Because you are not invisible.
Matthew 4:24
Philippians 4:6-7
