Times Are Hard for Dreamers - Amelie

Amelie was secluded most of her life by her parents. When she grows up, she leaves home and creates a life for herself. Times Are Hard for Dreamers is sung by Amelie as she looks on her new life with gratefulness and contentment. She then goes on to become an anonymous do-gooder for people that intersect her life.

What a lovely thought this time a year. As Thanksgiving approaches, we should take stock of the things in our life we are grateful for. One thing we sometimes take for granted is the Christmas Story. We have heard it so often we sometimes forget how amazing it is. So, I would like to invite you on a journey with me over the next six weeks. I have prepared a devotions that of course uses Broadway songs as we delve into the characters of the Christmas Story. On Wednesday November 25th, the prologue will set the scene for the characters in a brief devotion. Then each Monday and Wednesday from December 1-23, we will look at a different character of the Christmas story. What is amazing about this group of people is that they were all ordinary people. They were just like you and me. And yet God used them for this amazing purpose and in a story that we are still telling 2000 years later.

So please join me on this journey. In the meantime, take a lesson from Amelie. Look at your life and what you are grateful for and then anonymously spread that love to someone else.
